WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS STREAMED LIVE

The RSPBA have announced that the 2009 World Pipe Band Championships will be streamed live from Glasgow Green by the BBC. It will be able to be seen at www.bbc.co.uk/worlds . This is quite a significant step forward, you can be at the "World's" in your own home without the rain and water burgers! I am sure many a get together will be arranged by bands around the world.

SAUL TUNER

There is a new updated version of the Saul Tuner. This is what Mark says about it:

"About the 3.1 upgrade:
The upgrade to version 3.1 improves the reaction time of the tuner resulting in a faster unit, and smoother operation, particularly for drone tuning. It also provides a "Pro Mode" setting that doubles the resolution and accuracy - something that's handy for Grade 1 pipers! It's now also possible to use one tuner to share between any number of sets of pipes that have sensors attached, which is proving to be a popular approach for bands wanting the advantages of the sensors without the expense of a tuner unit for each piper."

Sounds very interesting. I found the old version to be a very good tuner.
