Performances

This is a set of jigs performed by Gordon Duncan the well known contemporary piper and composer of Pitlochry, Scotland, during his recital in Adelaide, June 2001. Details of the Gordon Duncan Memorial Trust can be seen here.

 

This is a performance by Greg Wilson of New Zealand, recorded in 2001. Greg has won the Gold Medal at the Northern Meeting, Inverness and Clasp as well as the Gold Medal at the Argyllshire Gathering, Oban. His other prizes are too numerous to mention. Greg is currently the Principal of Piping with the RNZPBA as well as a well established reed maker Wilson Reeds. The tune is Nameless (Hi Harin Dro O Dro) found in book 4 of the Piobaireachd Society Collection.

 

Brett Tidswell playing a March Strathpey and Reel set which includes the tunes, Mrs John McColl, Susan McLeod and Dolina McKay. Hornpipe and Jig set including, Lucy Cassidy and Donald Wille and his Dog. These two performances were recorded in 2000.

 

The following recordings are a comparison of various types of chanters.
